Dashboard Confessional - June 7, 2006 at Jack Singer
Jo San Fatties!
Let me give you guys the fat man scoop on last night's amazing concert. As many of you know Dashboard Confessional is one of my all time emo-slit-your-wrist band! I've been waiting to see them ever since I got their tickets (couple months ago) and you have no idea how psyched I was! Kitty and I arrived at roughly 7:15 and John Ralston was already performing (very odd...). We've never heard of him before but it doesn't matter because he was just okay. Immediately following Dallas Green aka City and Color did a few songs. He was really great! I'm honestly not a big fan of Green or his "Save Your Scissors" BS but his voice last night was amazing. Just when you thought Dashboard was emo..no you are wrong.
Finally! Dashboard came on stage at roughly 8:30. They prepared such an awesome set! It had an Asian theme with colourful lanterns everywhere. I'm so glad they did a lot of their old stuff because their new CD is just okay. Ugh.
Here's a list of the songs performed last night:
-Heaven Here
-Rooftops and Invitations
-The Good Fight
-Turpentine Chaser
-Places you have come
-Swiss Army Romance
-The Secret's In The Telling
-Ghost of a Good Thing
-So Long, So Long
-For you to Notice
-The Best Deceptions
-Dusk and Summer
-Rapid Hope Loss
-Screaming Infidelities
-Remember to breathe (extended)
-Don't Wait
Encore:
-Vindicated
-Hands Down
Unfortunately, I did not bring a camera last night. Although, I'm not sure how they would have turned out b/c I was too close to the stage (second row). And FatsGalore was blocking my view majority of the night because he was right in front of me. Anyway, here are some pictures from someone that did manage to sneak in their camera!

DC Quotes
Kitty: When are they going to play Vindicated?
Ern: Ugh
Kitty: Wow you're really into this
Ern: Ugh
Kitty: How do you know every song?
Ern: Ugh
Kitty: When are they going to play As Lovers Go?
Ern: Ugh
Ern: I need to somehow get on that stage
Kitty: Ugh
P.S. I touched Chris Carrabba's Hand!
